KRAV ZONE PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS
KravZone's kickboxing program is built on the foundation of full-contact karate, blended with modern Muay Thai, boxing, and the tactical striking used in MMA. Founder Shlomi Katz holds a 7th-degree black belt in full-contact karate. During his coaching career in Israel, his students competed and won at the highest levels of European Kyokushin karate and national Muay Thai. Today he and the KravZone team bring that same depth of striking instruction to Sunnyvale and the greater Bay Area.
walk confident. Walk brave.
UNLOCK YOUR POTENTIAL WITH KICKBOXING
Whether you're new to striking or an experienced fighter, our kickboxing program meets you where you are. Beginners learn stance, footwork, and the fundamental strikes — punches, kicks, knees, and elbows — through pad work and partner drills. As you progress, you'll learn to chain combinations, manage range, work the clinch, and handle pressure under controlled sparring.
THE ART OF STRIKING AND SELF-DEFENSE
Kickboxing at KravZone covers all three striking ranges — long range with kicks, mid-range with punches and combinations, and the clinch with knees and elbows. You'll drill techniques live, hit pads with experienced training partners, and once you've earned the rank to be ready, spar in a controlled, technical environment.
What sets our program apart:
- Coaching from instructors who have produced champion fighters at the international level
- Sparring that's tough but technical — no ego matches, no unnecessary damage
- Tailored feedback based on your body type, goals, and skill level
- A serious workout that builds real cardio, strength, and flexibility
You'll leave class fitter, sharper, and more confident in how to handle yourself standing up — whether your goal is fitness, competition, or just being able to defend yourself if it ever comes to that.
Practical self-defense for you

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any experience to start kickboxing at KravZone?
No. Most students start as complete beginners. Beginner classes focus on stance, footwork, and the fundamental strikes — punches, kicks, knees, and elbows.
What's the difference between kickboxing, Muay Thai, and karate?
Kickboxing typically uses punches and kicks. Muay Thai adds knees, elbows, and the clinch. Full-contact karate is striking under contact rules with karate's stance and timing. Our program blends elements of all three.
Will I have to spar?
Not until you're ready. Sparring is introduced gradually, and only with consenting partners at the appropriate skill level.
What should I wear to my first class?
Athletic clothes, MMA shorts or workout shorts, and a mouthguard if you have one. We provide gloves and pads for your first class.
